Q: How is my payment processed?
A: BoatGetAway requires each of its "Top Rated Boat" hosts to maintain their listing on Houfy, a leading direct booking rental property website. The vast majority of all payments are processed either by STRIPE or Square. For questions regarding payments, please contact your host directly.
Q: How does the security deposit work?
A: BoatGetAway hosts determine and set their own security deposits. The security deposit is typically charged to your payment method at the time of booking and is automatically returned following your check-out unless the host reports damages or additional fees requiring collection (ie: unregistered guests or pets). You will be notified by the host of such charges. Please contact your host for further questions regarding their security deposit policy.
Q: What if I need assistance during my stay?
A: We've got you covered! Every guest will be supported throughout their stay by a highly rated host with many years of experience in the short term boatel industry. All of our "Top Rated Boat" hosts have demonstrated a proven track record in providing incredible experiences on the water.
Q: How will I get the keys? Will someone show me around?
A: Yes, the host or their representative will arrange a check-in following your confirmed booking on Houfy. Some hosts will meet their guests at the marina and others provide a keypad code to access the boat for a self-check in. Hosts are required to send a Welcome Packet with clear, concise details about staying aboard the boat and must be available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have.
